Bushwalking Assistant Leadership Certificate

The Bushwalking Assistant Leadership Certificate (BLAC) has been aligned to the following national training package units. Through our training partnership with The Outdoor Education Consultants (TOEC) you will receive a statement of attainment for these units on completion of the course.

  • SISOFLD002 Minimise environmental impact
  • SISOFLD003 Select, set up and operate a temporary or overnight site***
  • PUAOPE013 Operate communications systems and equipment
  • SISOPLN005 Interpret weather and environmental conditions
  • SISOPLN001 Finalise operation of outdoor recreation activities***
  • SISOPLN004 Identify hazards, assess and control risks for outdoor recreation activities***
  • SISOBWG001 Bushwalk in tracked environments
  • SISOBWG005 Lead bushwalks in tracked environments

***Start these units in the BLAC course and complete them in the BLC course

***Optional unit which can be added. It requires one extra practical training day to complete.
